I hosted local doll club monthly meeting at my house in early August. \u00a0This year’s our theme is “Hitty doll” and we have been making Hitty related items as a project at each meeting. I have decided to have workshop of making non-sewing Hitty’s bonnet .<\/p>\n

I had no idea what “Hitty doll” was when club member mentioned about the doll at \u00a0bigining of this year. \u00a0Hitty doll has been around for quite long time and there are huge community of Hitty doll fans.<\/p>\n

\u307e\u305a\u3001\u201d\u30d2\u30c6\u30a3\u30c9\u30fc\u30eb\u201d\u3063\u3066\u4f55?\u3068\u601d\u308f\u308c\u308b\u65b9\u3082\u591a\u3044\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002\u79c1\u3082\u5b9f\u306f\u305d\u308c\u304c\u4f55\u306a\u306e\u304b\u3001\u4eca\u5e74\u521d\u3081\u307e\u3067\u308f\u304b\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002\u3069\u3046\u3084\u3089\u3053\u306e\u30d2\u30c6\u30a3\u30c9\u30fc\u30eb\u306f\u304b\u306a\u308a\u9577\u3044\u3053\u3068\u30b3\u30ec\u30af\u30b7\u30e7\u30f3\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3088\u3046\u3067\u3001\u5168\u56fd\u306b\u30d5\u30a1\u30f3\u304c\u305f\u304f\u3055\u3093\u3044\u308b\u305d\u3046\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Hitty is a 6.25 inches tall peg-jointed wooden doll. The original Hitty doll was believed to be made around 1820’s or 30’s and was found at antique shop in New York City in 1920’s by Rachel Field. Later on Rachel wrote a children’s book about adventure of Hitty doll \u00a0\u00a0<\/a>”\u00a0<\/a>Hitty, Her First Hundred Year”<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0The rest is history….<\/p>\n

\u30d2\u30c6\u30a3\u30c9\u30fc\u30eb\u306f\u8eab\u9577\u304c6.25\u30a4\u30f3\u30c1(15\u30bb\u30f3\u30c1\u307b\u3069\uff09\u306e\u6728\u5f6b\u308a\u306e\u4eba\u5f62\u3067\u3059\u3002\u30aa\u30ea\u30b8\u30ca\u30eb\u306e\u30d2\u30c6\u30a3\u306f1820\u5e74\uff5e30\u5e74\u3054\u308d\u306b\u4f5c\u3089\u308c\u305f\u305d\u3046\u3067\u3059\u304c\u3001100\u5e74\u5f8c\u306e1920\u5e74\u4ee3\u306b\u30ec\u30a4\u30c1\u30a7\u30eb.\u30d5\u30a3\u30fc\u30eb\u30c9\u3068\u8a00\u3046\u30cb\u30e5\u30fc\u30e8\u30fc\u30af\u306b\u4f4f\u3080\u5973\u306e\u5b50\u304c\u30a2\u30f3\u30c6\u30a4\u30fc\u30af\u30b7\u30e7\u30c3\u30d7\u3067\u30d2\u30c6\u30a3\u898b\u3064\u3051\u3066\u8cb7\u3044\u53d6\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u30ec\u30a4\u30c1\u30a7\u30eb\u306f\u305d\u306e\u5f8c\u8457\u540d\u306a\u4f5c\u5bb6\u3068\u306a\u308a\u3001\u30d2\u30c6\u30a3\u3092\u30e2\u30c7\u30eb\u306b\u3057\u305f\u5b50\u4f9b\u5411\u3051\u306e\u672c\u3092\u51fa\u7248\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000”\u00a0Hitty, Her First Hundred Year”<\/em><\/a>\u00a0 <\/strong>\u3000(\u3061\u3083\u3093\u3068\u65e5\u672c\u8a9e\u3067\u3082\u51fa\u7248\u3055\u308c\u3066\u307e\u3059\u306d\uff09<\/p>\n

There are so many Hitty dolls available today and getting my own Hitty doll was my first mission. \u00a0You can purchase artist made wooden Hitty doll if you like but instead, I purchased blank wooden doll created by South American artist. Then I painted her face and the body to make it look aged resembling to the original Hitty doll.<\/p>\n

I found easy non-sewing bonnet pattern for Hitty size doll and I decide to use this pattern for the meeting. Making and collecting items for Hitty can be very addictive. She suppose to have a chest to store all her belongings according to the story. You must have Hitty size furniture including nice cozy bed with tiny quilt. \u00a0I wasn’t so enthusiastic about little dolls before but now I am hooked! \u00a0My Hitty items are quickly multiplying. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Oh, one more fun thing that Hitty fans do is to take Hitty with you when you go traveling and take her pictures at famous site. She is a tiny traveling size doll and not so fragile like bisque dolls so it’s very easy to sneak her in between your pajamas. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Now your Hitty has her own adventure story to tell. \u00a0How fun is that!<\/p>\n
