If you could have your perfect Bru doll from head to toe, what would she look like?

I have to say… this girl is pretty darn close to my ideal Bru .

She’s my first creation in my new studio, and I really wanted to make something special to celebrate this new chapter—while also going back to where it all started. I began making dolls 26 years ago simply because I wanted to create the dolls I dreamed of owning.

As collectors, we’re always searching for that “perfect” doll… and they’re so hard to find!

That’s why my motto has always been, “If you can’t find it, make it.”

That’s what keeps me going.

I used an antique Bru Chevrot body and antique glass eyes for this special doll.

Naturally, I wanted to create a dress in classic Bru style.

Antique Bru dolls in original condition often wear tailored dresses with simple yet very stylish hats. I wanted to capture that look with this doll, and I hope I succeeded.

Honestly, if I could own my dream Bru, she would look just like this—same dress, same wig, same face.

She took much longer than I expected to finish, but I’m so happy with how she turned out.

I hope you enjoy seeing her as much as I enjoyed making her.

引っ越しして新しい工房にて作り始めた作品が、ようやく完成しました。新しい環境での記念すべき第一号は、私が２６年前にドールメイキングを始めた原点に戻って 、”アンテイークのこういうBruがあったらなあ”、という私の希望をもとに、頭からつま先までそのまま形にしてみました。 欲しいお人形があってもアンテイークで自分好みの娘を見つけるのはほぼ無理ですよね。私のモットーは、”見つからなければ作ればいい”です。というわけで誕生したこのBru嬢、自分のコレクションに残しておきたいほど、定番なBru嬢に完成させる事ができました。ずいぶん時間がかかってしまいましたが、皆さんも私と同じくらいこの子の制作過程をを楽しんでいただけたら嬉しいです。
