FBではすでに紹介したのですが、ブログで新作3体の紹介をするのを忘れていました。遅くなりましたが、日本でお披露目した3人の子たちの画像を載せますね。

I hosted a tea party in Kyoto Chorakukan after I left Tokyo. 15 guests enjoyed afternoon tea with my dolls in historical European style building which is rather rare occasion in Japan. I hardly had a chance to talk to participants during seminar in Tokyo but I was able to take time to talk to each guests at this event and that’s what I like about small sized party. I gave little presentation about how each dolls were created and that story was printed in a booklet I made for this event. Each guest received this booklet as a gift. At the end of the party, I drew name of winners for purchase right of the doll since I had multiple buyers for each dolls. All of my dolls found a new home on this day and I could not be happier knowing that they went to a good home. This was a rare occasion for me to be able to show my dolls in person. I pay extra attentions to take photos of each dolls but there are so many aspects that images alone can not tell. For example true color and texture of the bisque, true color of the fabric and dimensions of the dress, actual height of the doll etc..  I am hoping to be able to host event like this more often from now on. I like to thank all participants came to see me and my dolls for both event in Japan. Look forward  to seeing you again some time soon!  ************************************************************************************************* 東京を発った後は京都に向かい、長楽館でお茶会を催しました。このパーティーは懇親会の他に新作3体のお披露目を兼ねたもので、15人のお客様がお見えになりました。東京のセミナーでは、皆さんとお話しする時間があまり取れませんでしたが、このお茶会では美味しいお食事やアフタヌーンティーの合間に皆さんとゆっくりお話しすることが出来ました。お食事後、作品の制作過程を画像を使って皆さんに説明したり、質問を受けたりして盛り上がたっところで、締めくくりに作品の抽選会行いました。幸運にもこの日、3人とも新しいお嫁入り先を見つけることが出来て、生みの親としてはこれ以上嬉しいことはありません。何よりも、皆さんに作品を実際に見ていただくことが出来、そのリアクションは　”画像と実物はだいぶ違っていて、実物の方が良かった”というものでした。私も写真撮影にはかなり気を使っていますが、やはり平面の画像だけでは伝えきれない部分がたくさんあります。特にビスクの色や質感、ドレスの色や立体感、実際のお人形のサイズなど、実物を見て感じていただかないとわからない部分がたくさんあります。なので、今後もこのような催しを企画できたらいいなと思っています。今回両方のイベントに参加してくださった皆様、本当にありがとうございました。また日本で皆さんとお会いできる日を楽しみにしています！

My very first seminar I held in Tokyo ended successfully! I had 30 enthusiastic participants from all over Japan to learn and polish their doll making skills. I offered lecture of leaning difference of Bru faces by mold, tip for eye cutting and painting eye lashes. Also tip for choosing glass eyes. They are all basic skills but these techniques make huge difference on finished appearance of my dolls and I was more than happy to share some tips. Thank you all participants for taking time to attend this seminar !

4月2日に東京で行った初めてのセミナーは、30人という大きなクラスにもかかわらず無事に終了することが出来ました。セミナーの内容は、モールド別によるBruのお顔の違い、アイカットのコツ、まつげの絵付けのコツ、グラスアイの選び方のコツなどのレクチャーに続いて、アイカットの実演と実習を行いました。ドールメイキングの基本とも言えるベーシックな部分についての勉強会でしたが、この基本の技術がしっかりしていると、作品の出来上がりに大きな違いが出てきます。私の意見が少しでも皆さんのお役に立てれば嬉しいです。参加者の中には実際にお人形を作ったことのない方も多く、これを機会に興味を持って下さった方もいらっしゃったようです。たった一日のセミナーでしたが、全国各地からお集まりくださった皆様に、心からお礼申し上げます。楽しい時間をありがとうございました！
