I just received these photos from customers and I like to share with everyone. These Bru dolls were made by me and dressed by customer.

This cute pink dress was created by Annette Knöppel. How lovely!　　　　　　　　　　このドレスはアネッテさんによるものです。素敵ですね～。

This chic color dress looks great on brown eyes.　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　シックな色合いのドレスは茶目にぴったりですね。

This gorgeous dress and bonnet were created by customer. I love the color combination of the fabric and lace is to die for!                                                                                               このドレスとボネは、お客様がこの娘のために作ってくださいました。生地の色の組み合わせがとても素敵です。素晴らしい豪華なレースがふんだんに使われていてため息がでます。

My trip to London was very successful! I met wonderful friends at lunch meeting. We all met first time that day but feels like we knew each other for long time. It’s amazing what love of doll can do! I will definitely do this again when I have another opportunities.

とても楽しくて有意義なロンドンへの旅から帰ってきました！ランチミーテイングの当日は、皆さん初対面だったにもかかわらず、まるで古い友人のように盛り上がって、あっという間に時間が経ってしまいました。また機会があれば、ぜひこのような出会いの場を設けたいです。

I brought reading materials of doll costuming and Bru Chevrot body. Then undressed my Bru with antique body to let everyone exam how the dress and body are constructed. It’s difficult to get whole information from books and website alone so seeing actual model is extremely helpful.

当日は、全員にアンテイークドレスの構造とシェブローボデイーの歴史についての資料を配りました。本やネットからの情報だけでは、お人形がどのような作りになっているかなかなかわかりにくいので、私が持参したBru嬢のドレスを脱がし、ボデイーを実際に触ってみていただきながら、どういった作りになっているのかを勉強しました。

I also brought antique fabrics and lace to show what type and color of fabrics are appropriate for costuming. Giving tips of choosing antique lace and ribbons.

サンプル用のアンテイークの生地やレース、リボンなどを実際に見ていただき、どんなタイプの生地や色を選ぶべきか、レースやリボンを買う時のポイントなどをお話しました。I went to vintage textile show in London next day.                                                                 滞在中 ロンドン市内にあるビンテージテキスタイルショーにも足を運びました。

I found great antique lace shops at Portobello market.                                                           ポートベロマーケットでは、素敵なレースショップを発見！

I took day trip to Bath. They have fashion museum with large collection of antique costume. Too bad I can’t show all of them here.

ロンドン郊外にある街バースのファッション美術館では、時代別のアンテークドレスの展示が楽しめます。そのコレクションの数は豊富で、ここで全部部紹介できないのが残念です。

Victoria & Albert museum costume display exceeded my expectations. There are several  wonderful antique doll displays along with beautiful gowns. 　　　　　　　　　　　　　ヴィクトリア＆アルバート美術館のコスチューム展示は予想以上に素晴らしいものでした。ドレスと一緒に、数点のアンテイークドールも展示されていて、ドールファンには必見の美術館です。

You can also view Queen Victoria’s doll collection at Kensington palace.They are wooden peg dolls and facial painting and costuming are just wonderful.                                           ケンジントン宮殿には、ヴィクトリア女王が幼少の頃に使っていた人形が展示されています。初期の木のドールですが、お顔の絵付けやドレスが素晴らしいです。

Windsor castle displays Queen Mary’s doll house. Inside of this extremely large doll house is filled with elaborate miniature items that actually works!

ウィンザー城には、メアリー女王のドールハウス展示が見学できます。とてつもなく大きいドールハウスの中には、実際に機能する素晴らしいミニチュアが所狭しと並べられていて、その精密さにため息が出ます。

You can also view sister dolls created by SFBJ inside Windsor castle museum.These dolls came with amazing trousseau and they were gift from France to Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret. I borrowed these photos from web since photography was not allowed inside the castle.

城内美術館には、SFBJが制作したエリザベス王女とマーガレット王女に贈られたお人形が、たくさんのお支度品と共に展示されています。城内での撮影は許可されていないので、ネットから画像を借りました。I never knew there are so many doll related places I could visit in UK till I actually got there. It was a pleasant surprise and made this trip 200 % more enjoyable. If you ever have chance to visit UK, I recommend you to check out these places. You will definitely enjoy!

イギリスに着くまで、これほどたくさんのお人形関連の見学が出来るとは知りませんでした。おかげで今回の旅が2倍楽しめたと思います。もし皆さんがイギリスへ行く機会があれば、ぜひこれらの場所を訪れてみてください。きっと楽しんでいただけるともいます。

I have long waited this day, the day I can finally show my new 17 inch Bru Jne 8 to all of you!   If you have been following my blog, you may recall that I started making this doll by repairing her antique Chevrot body. It had missing left toes and no shoulder plate or arms.  I also had to find the right size Bru head mold to fit on this antique body and fired more than ten heads. But the only Bru head would fit on the body had no tongue molded on mouth so I had to modify sculpting to create a mouth with tongue. She is truly a fruit of labor and I am so proud of myself to be able to create this doll looks so close to antique Bru Jne. I don’t even know if I will ever have an opportunity to make a doll like her again. She will be premiered at lunch meeting in London on July 12th. (I will post more information about the meeting on next blog entry.) She will be for sale on my website if she does not sell in London. やっとこの日がやって来ました！いよいよ新作のBru嬢のお披露目です。しばらくブログを読んでくださっている方々は覚えていらっしゃるかともいますが、この作品はまず、アンテイークのシェブローボデイーの修理から始まりました。左の足の指が無く、ショルダープレートも、ビスクアームもついていませんでした。しかも、このボデイーにぴったりり合ったヘッドを探すのに手間がかかり、結局10個以上の違うサイズのヘッドを焼くはめに。やっと見つかった合うサイズのヘッドは”舌”がないタイプのお顔で、”舌”のあるお顔にするために唇にパテ盛りしてお口の形を変えました。こんなに手間隙かかった作品はこの娘だけです。おかげで、今までにないもっともアンテイークのBruに近い作品に出来上がりました。このような機会に恵まれることはもう二度とないかもしれません。今回この娘を完成することができて本当に嬉しいです。　この娘は、7月12日に行われるロンドンでのランチミーテイングでお披露目いたします。（ミーテイングの詳細は次回のブログでお伝えします）もしロンドンでお嫁に行かなかった場合は、HPにて販売いたします。どうか画面下までスクロールして、この娘をお楽しみください。

She has antique oval blue glass eyes and antique blonde mohair wig to complete antique look.

使用したグラスアイは、ブルーのオーバルアンテイークアイです。ウィッグもアンテイークのブロンドモヘアウィッグを使いました。Her blue glass earrings and silver bar pin are also vintage.                                                   ビンテージのブルーグラスイヤリングとシルバーのバーピンをアクセントに。

Her cranberry red silk costume is made from all antique materials. She comes with this silver antique doll purse. 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　クランベリー色のシルクドレスは、すべてアンテイークの素材を使って仕上げました。シルバーのアンテイークバッグは付属品です。

Her bonnet is made from gold color antique silk fabric accented with ecru silk ribbon and vintage millinery flowers.                                                                                                         ボネットもすべて、アンテイークの素材で出来ています。

She is wearing many layers of undergarments. All made from antique fabrics.　　　　　たくさん着込んだ下着もすべてアンテイークの素材で出来ています。

Her chemise has large openings at chest so that it will not hide Bru’s beautiful bisque plate.シミーズの襟ぐりは大きくして、ビスクの胸が隠れないように。

Her undergarments are total of 5 pieces including bustle pad.　　　　　　　　　          　下着はバッスルパッドも含めて全部で５ピースです。

Here is final look of her Chevrot body. I repaired her left toes and made bisque shoulder plate and bisque arms. 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　修理したシェブローボデイーの出来上がりはこんな感じなりました。左足の指の修復をし、ビスクプレート、ビスクアームを新たに作りました。
