Mr.Stuart Holbrook, the president of Theriault’s Doll Auctions, was a guest at Sierra Nevada doll club joined with Just About Dolls doll club gave a very interesting talk over afternoon tea.

The four hours went by in a blink of an eye with a wide variety of topics, including interesting anecdotes related to auctions, the latest analytics on the changing collector and doll industry, and advice on how to create a collection that is unique to you and much more.

Ladies at Victorian Fancies – Tea society did a fantastic table setting, allowed us to have a luxurious time enjoying rich conversation and tea with Stuart.

After two months of cleaning up the house in preparation for our move, it was the first time in a long time that I was able to feel human again.

Theriault’s ドールオークションの代表スチュワートさんを地元のドールクラブにゲストとしてお招きして、アフタヌーンティをいただきながらとても興味深いお話を聞かせていただきました。Theriault’sはアメリカで一番大手のオークションハウスだけに、オークションにまつわる興味深い逸話の数々、時代と共に変わりゆくコレクターやドール業界の最新アナリティクス、自分らしいコレクションを作り上げてゆくためのアドバイスなどなど、多岐にわたった話題であっという間に過ぎた４時間でした。アフタヌーンティのセッティングは、ティ―パーティのケータリングをやっている地元の業者さんにお任せして、私達はスチュアートさんと豊かな会話とお茶を楽しめた贅沢な時間でした。引っ越し準備で二か月も家の片づけに明け暮れていたので、久々に人間に戻れた一日でした～(^▽^)/

I had a re-examination at the eye clinic the other day. Thankfully, my symptoms have calmed down since then, and so far, I haven’t progressed to retinal detachment.
Just little eyesight deterioration and I was told that I’ll have to deal with floaters for the rest of my life.

I picked up my new prescription glasses today and I can see so much better!

I’ve had blurry eyesight for almost a month, so I’m happy to be able to see things clearly again.
I wish I could settle into my new home sooner and start working on my dolls, although that’s still at least six months away(;^ω^)

先日眼科で再検査してもらいました。お陰様であれから症状は落ち着いて来て、今のところ網膜剥離には進行しておらず、視力が少し落ちた程度で済んでいます。(飛蚊症は一生のお付き合いと言われました)

今日新しい処方箋のメガネを受け取って来ました。凄く良く見えるーーー!

一ヶ月近くボンヤリの視力で過ごして来たので、再び物がハッキリ見えて嬉しいです。

早く新しい家に落ち着いて、作品制作に取り掛かりたいです♪と言っても少なくとも半年は先の話ですが(;^ω^)
