Here she is! My newest creation is a 12″ Bru Jne doll. It’s been a big change for me to work on such a small doll since my last doll was 30″ tall. But my eyes adjusted very well for making the small dress as I was putting more hours in. I was able to pay enough attention to details to make her corset or adding tiny trims. I am very happy with how she turned out.
She is 12″ tall without a wig, about 14″ with bonnet. Her wig is an antique blonde mohair wig, her eyes are British eyes with spiral thread which gives her an antique look. I made a Chevrot style body and stained leather and lower legs to give an aged look. All her undergarments are made from antique cotton batiste and lace, her tiny corset even has bone.I chose gold and ecru colored antique silk fabrics to make her ensemble since she looks like a little jewel. This is my favorite color combination. Her dress looks very rich and elegant, you can’t help noticing her even though she is a little doll. I also made tiny Bru leather shoes with a ” Bru Jne Paris” stamp on the sole. I thoroughly enjoyed making these little items for this doll.All my future dolls are reserved for customers who are on the waiting list so she already has a new owner. I hope the new owner will enjoy her as much as I did!

３０センチのBru嬢が完成したのでお披露目します。前回の作品は８０センチ近くのジャンボサイズだったので、今回はずいぶん勝手が違う作業でした。でも長い間のこ娘の制作を続けていくうちにだんだん目が慣れてきて、コルセットを作ったり、ディテールに凝ったドレスまで作れるようになりました。
お人形の背丈はウィッグ無しで３０センチ、ボネを被せた状態ですと３５センチくらいです。ウィッグはアンティークのモヘアウィッグ、グラスアイはイギリスハンド社のスパイラルスレッドアイです。このタイプのグラスアイはサイズが小さい子に使うと、アンティークっぽい雰囲気が出るので好んで使っています。ボディはシェヴロースタイルで、革部分と下脚にビンテージ加工を施してあります。下着とコルセットはすべてアンティ―クの素材から作りました。ドレスとボネのセットは、私が特に好きなゴールドとエクルのアンティークシルク地を組み合わせて作りました。この色合いのドレスは気品と豪華さが出るので、小さいサイズの作品でも十分に存在感が出ます。靴ももちろん靴底にBruのスタンプが入った革靴で、小さいながらも丁寧に作りました。私は最近は小さいお人形にはまっているので、この娘のお仕度を楽しみながら進めることができました。この子はすでに予約待ちのお客様に売約済ですので、お嫁入り先は決まっています。新しいオーナー様も、私同様この娘を可愛がってくれることを願っています。

I made Bru leather shoes for 12″ Bru! I also realized I have not posted her undies including her tiny corset. Here are photos of her costumes. They are all custom made by me for this doll using antique materials. ( except socks and wig, I did not make them, the wig is an antique mohair wig)

Bru 嬢の小さな靴が完成しました！これでお仕度がすべて完成です。と思ったところで、下着の画像を載せるのをすっかり忘れていたことに気づきました。せっかく小さなコルセットも作ったので、ぜひお仕度の全部を見てください。靴下とアンティークのモヘアウィッグ以外は、アンティーク素材を使ってすべて私が制作しました。

３０センチのBru嬢のドレスが完成しました。小さいサイズですが、ディテイルにもこだわって作り上げました。照明の当たった画像だとシルク地が光に反射してテラって見えますが、実際の色はもっと落ち着いた色合いのゴールドとエクリュのドレスです。レース部分はアンティークのシルクレースを使ったので、とてもゴージャスな雰囲気に仕上がったと思います。

そしてそれは、ローウエストドレスのベルト部分なのでした。

There are so many things that have happened since I last posted. In fact, the world is a much sadder place. My heart goes on to Ukrainian people who have sacrificed everything.It is extremely difficult to see this tragedy on TV since I have friends in both Ukraine and Russia. I just hope this meaningless war will end soon. Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers to all who are suffering.

I had little health issues myself and could not work on dolls for quite a while. I am finally feeling better and resumed working on the dress for 12″ Bru.The color and fabric I picked for this little girl is Gold and Ecru. This rich color combination is one of my favorites. They make Bru dolls look so gorgeous, and especially make little dolls look like a gem.It really motivates me to finish her!

前回の更新からしばらく経ってしまいましたが、その間に世界はとても悲しい場所になってしまいました。私には、ウクライナとロシアの両方に友人、知人がいるだけに、戦争の悲しい惨状を見るたびに胸が締め付けられる思いです。このような意味のない争いが一日でも早く終わることを願うばかりです。
私自身もまた喘息発作がぶり返して、しばらく作業できないでいました。ようやく体力が回復してきたので、さっそくドレス制作に取り掛かっています。３０センチと小さい娘なので、選んだ生地はゴールドとエクルの組み合わせです。この古典的な色のドレスはお人形を宝石のように輝かせてくれるので、特に小さいサイズにピッタリです。出来上がったら、きらきら光る宝石のような娘になってくれるといいなと思っています。

Just finished painting a 12 inch Bru head. Amazingly, my first trial head came out really well. Taking enough time off seemed to help improving my work ability. I don’t have antique eyes for this small head so I am using these British blue eyes with spiral threads.
I often use this particular model glass eyes for small doll heads because they give dolls that antique look. I really like her! ( this doll is reserved)

ミレットBruのヘッドが完成しました。今回は珍しく一作目のヘッドで満足のいく出来上がりです。やはり休暇の後は体調が良いせいか、作品の出来栄えにも影響しますね。残念ながらこの小さいヘッドに合うアンティークアイは持ち合わせていないので、イギリスハンド社のグラスアイを使う事にします。このモデルのオーバルアイはスパイラルのスレッドが入っていて、小さいヘッドに使うとアンティークっぽさが出るので好んで使っています。（この新作は売約済ですのでご了承ください）

It’s time to get back to work after having an entire month off in January. My next doll will be 12″ Bru Jne.　I cast a head and made a Chevrot style body already last year so the process should move along nicely.
Well, that’s what I thought…Unfortunately I found a crack line when I immersed the SFGW head in water for cleaning.
These kinds of problems happen quite often and sadly I won’t be able to find flaws till I go to the next stage. It’s very discouraging but I have no time to waste by sobbing, just move on and cast more heads.

１月いっぱいお休みを頂いたので、さっそく新作に取り掛かります。次の作品は３０センチのBruJneです。
実は去年のうちにすでにヘッドを一回作って（ボツになりましたが）さらにSFGWヘッドも焼いて、ボディも作ってありました。なのでサクサクと制作が進むはずです。　と思ったのですが。。。。Σ(ﾟдﾟlll)　クリーニングのためにヘッドを水に浸けたところ、耳の後ろにクラックラインが。。
（このまま焼成したらぱっくり割れるタイプ）こういったアクシデントはよくあります。しかも、悲しいことに次の段階に行かないと見つからないことがほとんどです。
まあ、くよくよしてる暇もないので、さっそく新しいヘッドを型抜きしました。念のため二個。今回はどちらかがうまく行きますように。

I made this 14” Schmitt doll 5 years ago and she did not have an appropriate dress for a long time. I have been working on this simple dress little by little for few months and it’s finally ready to be presented❣️I think she turned out very cute 🥰 ( she is a part of my private collection and not for sale)
