It’s been a while since I painted Triste face. I have been painting Bru for last few years so painting Triste eyebrows is becoming a challenge.

I have been working on Triste eyebrows for last three days and still can not paint the way I want….

*************************************************************************************************ここ数年はBruばかり作っていたので、トリステの絵付けに慣れるのに時間がかかっています。特に眉毛。もう三日も眉毛に取り掛かっているのですが、いまひとつ思うように描けません。目指す表情は、少女のようでいて、しかもマリア様のような慈愛に満ちた表情。。。　わ～～、超難しい!　また来週まで持越しです。

I have posted few teaser photos of this doll in past entries and now she is finally revealed!   She is 19 inch tall Bru Jne 11 and she has these high dome antique brown paper-weight oval eyes. Her bisque is painted in pink not pale, and I took photos under natural light to capture her true bisque color. ( however, the color may appear differently depends of your PC screen ) I did not apply kiln dust intentionally for this doll head so she only has few very tiny specks around her eyes. She has Chevrot style leather body with antique stain. Her shoulder plate and lower arms are bisque, and lower legs are made with composition. ***********************************************************************************************  この娘の画像は以前時々ちらっとブログに出ましたが、今回いよいよお披露目です。この19インチ（48センチ）のBruJne11号には、アンテイークのブラウンオーバルグラスアイ が入っています。虹彩のドームも非常に高い、質のよいグラスアイです。ビスクの色はピンク色で、色白ではありません。ビスクの色がわかりやすいように屋外の自然光で撮影しましたが、お使いのPCにより色は異なりますので、ご了承ください。キルンダストは少なく、アイカット周辺に細かいものが少量あるのみです。画像では捕らえにくい細かいものなので載せていませんが、ご希望によりズーム画像をメールいたしますので、ご希望方はお知らせください。     ボデイーはシェブローボデイーで、革の部分にはアンテイーク加工がしてあります。膝下の足の部分はコンポジション製で、ショルダープレート、肘以下脳ではビスク製です。

Her wig is a vintage mohair wig and her ears are pierced from the top through the bottom of lobes.She comes with these blue glass earrings.  Her two piece dress is made with combination of antique dark red velvet and antique cranberry color silk. I also applied antique jet black beads decorations on the jacket. Accent lace at the bottom of the jacket is fine antique Brussels lace. Please note there is an imperfection on the fabric at the back of the skit due to antique material.　                       ************************************************************************************************ウィッグはビンテージのモヘアウィッグ、ピアスホールは耳たぶの上から下へ抜けるタイプです。画像のブルーグラスのイヤリングは付属品です。

ツーピースドレスはすべてアンテイークの素材でできており、ジャケットにはダークレッドのベルベットクランベリーカラーのシルクを使いました。アンテイークの黒いビーズのデコレーションをジャケットの裾などにアクセントとしてあしらっています。ジャケット裾についているレースは、アンテイークのブリュッセルレースです。アンテイーク素材のため、スカート後ろ左部分の生地に線が入っていますが、ご了承ください。

The bonnet is made with the same materials as the dress. Antique velvet at the back and cranberry silk at the front part of the brim. I used antique silk lace as accent base and decorated with antique silk ribbons and millinery flowers.                       ************************************************************************************************ボネットはドレスと同じ生地でできており、表にはクランベリー色のシルクを、裏側にはベルベットを使いました。アンテイークのシルクレースをベースに、その上をアンテイークのリボンや布花で飾っています。

Her 4 piece undergarment is made with antique cotton and cotton lace including bustle pad. Her shows are made with black lambskin and stamped ” Bru Jne Paris” at the sole. Her black cotton socks are vintage. She also comes with antique silver doll purse she is holding. Last weekend’s Reno doll show was a success!   But I am not use to doing shows and my sales skill at the table was not quite perfect. 🙁                                                                 I mean it was a much bigger job than I imagined.There are so many things to do from preparation to cleaning.Figuring out price of each items and packaging, setting up the table display, haling large boxes in out from the car,sitting long hours at the table during the show,book keeping of sold items after the show etc …        With my limited time schedule, I don’t think I did enough prep for the show.   I take my hat off to these dealers who travel for shows all the time. It takes lot of energy, I mean it!

I sold lots of doll related small items but my 19 inch Bru doll is still with me. She will be for sale soon as I am ready to post her!

*************************************************************************************************日本はまだ暖かい日々が続いているようですが、こちらは先日初雪がちらほらと舞いました!さて先週行われたリノドールショーは、大成功のうちに終わりました。でも、ショーの仕事は思った以上に大変なものでした。準備から片づけまでの行程が、ハンパじゃないですね。商品をパッケージにつめて値段を決め、お客様が見やすいようにテーブルにアレンジ、荷物が入った大きな箱を車から出したり入れたり、ショーの間はじっと座ってお客さまの対応、さらにショーの後は売り上げの会計などなど。。これをいつも旅をしながらやっているデイーラーさんたちには頭が上がりません!　　私はぎりぎりまで作品作りをしていたためショーの準備期間がほとんど無く、当日はかなり未熟なデイーラーでした。:-(　（私のテーブルは、どちらかと言うとショーと言うより蚤の市状態!?）

さて、例の19インチのBru嬢は、まだ私の手元にあります。したがって、準備が出来次第HPで販売いたします。お楽しみに!

I had a visitor in my studio last week.　Yuliya is originally from Ukraine and living in Idaho with her American husband. She is self studying doll making and also does some repair work for antique dolls.We have been email friends for a while and finally met each other. It’s always nice to spend time with doll friends who can share the same joy.                     My studio is always open to anyone who would like to visit.  ( Except winter time during heavy snow!)                                       ************************************************************************************************先週は、私のスタジオにお客様がみえました。ユリアさんは最近ウクライナから移住してきた方で、現在アメリカ人ご主人と一緒にアイダホ州に住んでいます。　　　　　　　　　　　独学でリプロードール制作にチャレンジしているそうですが、最近はアンテイークドールのリペアなども勉強しているそうです。彼女とはしばらくメル友でしたが、今回はじめてお会いすることができました。ドール話を共有できるお友達と過ごせる時間は、私にとってはとても貴重です。二人とも時間を忘れて、お人形について話し込んでしまいました。　　　　　　　　　お客様はいつでも歓迎しますので、もしお近くへおいでの際は、お気軽にお立ち寄りください。(ただし冬の間は雪が深いのでお勧めしませんが。。。）

So far I have made her body and working on her dress now. Her dress is made with deep red antique satin silk and velvet. I can’t think of any better color for her. Her brown eyes look amazing with this dark red dress.                                                                                     I technically have only four more days to work on this doll before the show. I may not be able to answer email promptly till she is completed. I appreciated everyone’s understanding. I wish one week has 10 days instead of 7!!

I will be participating local Reno Doll and Teddy Bear Show on October 5th at Holiday Inn Sparks Nevada.  I usually don’t do shows because I don’t have any dolls to sell .    But I have decided to make one by then ( hopefully ) and I will be using this Bru head in brown eyes. She will be 19 inch tall and she will have these antique brown eyes showing on photos. If I finish her by then, I will be selling her for special doll show price.                     Meanwhile I have to put Triste project aside for now till I finish this Bru. 普段はドールショーには参加しない私ですが(出品する作品がないので)、今回は10月に地元で開かれるリノドールショーに参加することになりました。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　とりあえず、手元にあるこのＢｒｕヘッドを使って作品を仕上げる予定です。（できるかな～？ここで、ノッポさんの”できるかな？”テーマソングが頭の中にぐるぐるまわる～～ 🙁 ）　　それまではトリステの制作はひとまずお預けになります。日本から来てくださるお客様はいないと思いますが、作品はドールショー価格(かなりお安く)で販売されます。もしお近くに住んでいる方がいらしたら、ぜひ立ち寄ってみてください。

I have been wanting to use these large antique oval paper-weight eyes in cobalt blue for quite some time.  Unfortunately they do not fit on any of Bru head mold I have so I can not use them to make a Bru doll this time.                                                                                But I do have the other brand doll head mold perfect for these eyes.  And that is ….

画像にあるかなり大きいサイズのコバルトブルーのアンテイークアイを使う機会をずっと待っているのですが、手持ちのどのＢｒｕヘッドにも合わないサイズなのです。(アンテイークアイのサイジングは、現代ものと違ってかなり微妙。。。）でも、ひとつだけこのグラスアイがぴったり合うヘッドを見つけました。それは。。。

25 inch Jumeau Triste!　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　25インチのジュモウ. トリステです。

I have not made Jumeau Triste since 2007. I think it’s about time to create this large beauty but in much higher quality. I am going to use these antique eyes and use antique Jumeau body with straight wrist same as antique Triste. Of course she will be dressed in a beautiful costume made with antique materials.                                                                   I already fired her head and painted in pale pink skin tone. I like facial painting of Triste from early era which has much softer and delicate stroke. I am going to try to duplicate that delicate look on this doll head.

トリステは、2007年以来ずっと作っていませんでした。なので、今回久しぶりに作ってみることにしました。と言っても、かなりアップグレードしたバージョンになります。　　　　　　　　まず、このアンテイークアイを使うとともに、ボデイーもアンテイークのジュモウボデイーを使います。もちろん、ストレートリストのタイプです。ドレスもアンテイーク素材を使った素敵なのを作ってあげたいです。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　ヘッドはすでに焼成して、薄いピンクの肌色に絵付けしました。トリステの絵付けについては、初期の淡い感じのほうが好きなので、それを参考にします。久しぶりのトリステなので、ちょっと緊張していますが、今後の経過をお楽しみに。 🙂
