I finished a bonnet for my little AT doll !   I thought about using different design this time and made several prototypes. But I ended up using this tall brim style because she looked the best with this one. ( or maybe I just like this style so much and nothing looks better?)

AT 嬢のボネが出来上がりました。今回はちょっと違ったデザインを使ってみようといろいろプロトタイプを作って試してみたのですが、結局このブリムの高いデザインが一番似合っていたので、また似たようなのを作ってしまいました。というか、このデザインがあまりに好みなので、他のは受け付けないのかも？

The bonnet is made from antique Ecru silk and antique silk ribbon, antique lace.                ボネの素材はすべてアンテイークのシルク地と、シルクリボン、アンテイークレースです。

I was lucky to have this wide silk ribbon in aqua color in stock.They are hard to find.            アンテイークで幅広のこの色のリボンを見つけるのはなかなか大変で、今回はラッキーにも在庫がありました。

Here is the finished look of the dress for 14 inch AT doll !                                                       I used gold color antique silk fabric combined with aqua blue ( or mint color?) antique silk. I borrowed design from antique Bru bebe dress because I knew this design will look good on my little AT doll. I love this color combination. It has style and looks of classic French bebe dress. Hope you like it too!

AT嬢のドレスが出来上がりました!　ゴールドとアクアブルー（もしくはミント）のアンテイークのシルク地を使い、デザインはアンテイークのBru嬢からお借りして作りました。AT嬢は小さいサイズなので、このデザインがぴったりだと思いました。色の組み合わせも、クラシックなフレンチべべっぽくてとても好きです。皆さんにも気に入っていただけると嬉しいです。

I was busy doing tax prep in February and couldn’t spare time to work on AT doll dress.      I am finally getting back on dress making but, mmmm, this dress design turned out to be rather complicated. Math is not my favorite subject so calculating size of each fabric pieces is always problem to me. I also do not like to draw accurate patters ( I am sort of lazy for doing such things) and making parts of small pieces is a challenge.                         I have made this much so far. Lots going on for such a small scale dress. I hope it will turn out as I expected!

２月は確定申告の準備に追われ、AT嬢のドレスに避ける時間がありませんでした。ようやくそれも片付き、ドレス制作を再開しました。が、このドレス、やけに複雑ですごく手間がかかります。私は数学は苦手なほうなので、パーツの布地の寸法を割り出したりする作業が一番苦手です。おまけに、正確なパターンを作ったりするのも苦手なのでいつもアドリブでやっているので、こういうパーツが多いドレスはめちゃめちゃ頭がこんがります。ドレスの画像を見て頭の中で構造を分解し、裁縫前パーツの形を割り出し、またそれを組み合わせていく。小さいサイズのドレスは大きいサイズに比べて、限られたスペースにコンパクトにまとめなければならないので、なかなかのチャレンジです。思うとおりに仕上がってくれるといいのですが。。。These knife pleats needs to be stitched together at the back in order to hold the shape.　プリーツの形が崩れないよう、裏側にしつけ縫いを施していきます。

Front panel is connected with skirt parts. Took me for a while to figure out this structure.  フロントパネルはスカート部分と一体になっているのでややこしい構造。。。

I am going to restart where I left off last time.
I was going to finish this 14″ little AT doll before Christmas and picked red fabric to make her dress.
I am now thinking she would look better with ecru or pink, pale blue color.
She is going to be sooo cute!

今年の仕事始めはやはり、前回クリスマスまでに仕上げるつもりだった１４インチのATを完成させることです。クリスマス、ということで赤いドレスを作るつもりでしだが、すでに時期はずれなので、エクル、もしくはピンクかペールブルーがいいかなと思います。すごく可愛い娘に出来上がりそうなので、なんだかウキウキしています！

I was going to use spiral threaded eyes for my little AT but it turned out these eye do not give the look I wanted. I tried these antique blue eyes instead and now she has sweet look that I was looking for. I think I am going to use these eyes ….. We will see…

新しいAT のヘッドが出来上がったのですが、用意していたスパイラルスレッドのグラスアイを合わせてみたら、なんだか思っていたのと雰囲気がいまいち違うんですよね。代わりにこのアンテイークのブルーアイを合わせてみたら、わりといい感じです。このままこのグラスアイで行こうかと思案中。。。

I would like to finish my next doll before Christmas ( hopefully by early December). I had many requests to finish little AT doll since I posted her head photos few month ago so my next doll project will be 14 inch A11T doll. I had planned this when I was working on 14 inch Bru. I have purchased body mold and had them ready to be strung by now. I have fired the head and in painting stage currently. She will be dressed in deep red silk since she will be a Christmas doll. I am working on the design and will start making the dress soon as I string the body. I wish I could work this efficiently all the time. 🙂

次の作品は１４インチ(３５センチ) のAT です！何ヶ月か前に試作品のヘッド画像を載せて以来、早く完成製品を見たい、というリクエストをたくさんいただいたので、さっそくボデイーモールドを購入して準備をしていました。今の時点では、すでにボデイーは繋げるだけの状態、ヘッドも絵付け段階に入っています。ドレスは季節に合わせてやはり赤、デザインが決まり次第制作に取り掛かります。出来ればクリスマス前、１２月の始めには販売できるように完成できればいいな、と思っています。いつもこんな風に仕事がスムーズにはかどるといいのですが。。。

I am pleased to introduce my newest creation 14 inch Bru Jne 4. Thank you for waiting patiently for this day. It’s been sort of bumpy ride since I decided to recreate this blue dress but I am extremely happy with the finished look of this doll.

お待たせしました。やっと１４インチBruJne４嬢をお披露目することができます。このブルーのドレスを作ると決めて以来、かつて無いほど苦労したのですが、とりあえず完成までこぎつけました。結果はなかなか満足のいく出来となったので、作り手としても嬉しいです。

She has antique blue oval eyes with antique blonde mohair wig.　　　　　　　　　　　グラスアイはアンテイークのブルーアイを、ウィッグも今回はアンテイークのブロンドモヘアウィッグを使用しました。

This blue dress is a reproduction of antique Bru dress which was featured on ” Rokusho” magazine published in Japan.

このブルーのドレスは、雑誌”緑青”の表紙を飾ったアンテイークのBru嬢のドレスからデザインをお借りしました。

I used antique blue silk fabric and antique brocade fabric woven with silver thread to create this dress. This brocade fabric is adding such richness to this dress.

ドレスに使った生地はアンテイークのブルーのシルク地と、銀糸で織られたアンテイークのブロケード地です。とても重厚な雰囲気が出ています。

The bonnet is made entirely with antique materials including antique lace and silk chiffon. I used antique blue velvet ribbon as an accent.

このボネには厚みと深みを出すために、アンテイークレースやシルクシフォンなどの素材を重ねてあります。アクセントにはブルーのベルベットリボンをあしらいました。

Her body is Chevrot style leather body with bisque arms and shoulder plate, lower legs are made with composition. I antiqued leather and lower legs to give vintage look.

ボデイーはシェブロースタイルのレザーボデイーを作りました。ビスクのショルダープレートにビスクアーム、ひざから下の脚はコンポジション製です。革の部分と下肢には古い感じを出すために、ビンテージ加工を施してあります。

Her undergarment includes corset, chemise, bloomers, petticoat and bustle pad. I made them from antique cotton fabrics except petticoat. I used antique doll petticoat for this doll.

下着はコルセット、シミーズ、ブルーマー、ペチコート、バッスルパッドの５点です。ペチコートを除いて、全部私がアンテイークのコットンを使って作りました。ペチコートは、今回はアンテイークの物を使用しました。

I made classic style Bru shoes with black lambskin. It has “Bru Jne Paris” stamp at the bottom.

靴は黒のラムスキンを使って私が作りました。靴底には”BruJneParis”のスタンプが押してあります。
