2016 was very eventful year for me. It was the end of my old routine and beginning of a new chapter of my life. I truly enjoyed this Holiday season by spending time just as a normal person does. I feel like I have just discover how to enjoy a life. Now I can tell how much I was exhausted not just physically but emotionally. I am so glad I made a choice to become a full time doll maker from now on.  I like to start this new year by announcing my plan for 2017.

I am taking another trip to Japan in April to offer a seminar in Tokyo and host tea party in Kyoto with my new dolls.  I am also planing to host a lunch meeting in NYC in early October. I am going to make a Bru Jne doll with antique body for NYC event and we could study about antique Chevrot body. I will be flying to France after NYC to visit friends and travel Europe but I could host another meeting in Paris or London if anyone is interested.

I will be making dolls mostly for events this year but I will try to make extra dolls to list on my website as much as time allows. Since I can spend 100% of my time for doll making from now on, my head is filled with plans. I have large amount of doll molds I have inherited few years ago but never had a chance to use them. 2016年は私にとって大きな変化があった年でした。20年前アメリカに移住してからずっと続けていた生活習慣に区切りをつけ、ナース業を辞めてドールメイキングに専念することにしました。このクリスマスシーズンを人並みに過ごしてみて、人生の楽しみ方を初めて知ったような気分です。今振り返ってみて、自分がいかに身体的、精神的に疲れていたか実感しました。思い切って退職して、本当によかったです。

さて、新年の抱負に替えて、2017年のプランをお知らせしたいともいます。

昨年好評だったランチミーテイング、今年は4月に東京と京都の二か所で行うことにしました。4月2日（日曜日）に東京都内でセミナーっぽい勉強会、4月8日（土曜日）に京都長楽館にて新作発表を兼ねたティーパーティーを開催したいと思います。東京でのイベントは、まだ会場を探している状態ですが、京都の方は詳細が出来上がっているので下記の告知をご覧ください。

10月の初旬にニューヨークでランチミーティングを予定しています。これは日本でやったイベントのように、新作のアンテイークボデイーのBruJneを使ってChevrotボディを勉強する会です。NYCのイベントの後フランスへ行くのですが、希望者があればパリかロンドンでランチミーティングをすることも可能です。

2017年はイベント用の新作制作にほとんどの時間を費やすともいますが、時間があればHPでの販売用の作品も手掛けてみたいです。数年前に譲っていただいた大量のモールドがあるのですが、まだ作る機会がなかったので、ぜひ新しい作品にチャレンジしてみたいです。これからは自分の時間を全部ドール制作に費やせるので、あれこれやりたいことが満載で、いまからウキウキしています。どうか今年もよろしくお願いいたします。

モールド別によるBruフェイスの違いを説明、アイカットの実演、グラスアイの選び方のコツ、ご希望があれば出席者が持ちよった自作ヘッドの絵付けのアドバイスもいたします。当日アイカットをやってみたい方は、ソフト焼きのヘッド、必要な道具もご持参ください。（私の持参する新作もお披露目しますが、当日の撮影はお控え下さるようにお願いします。）なお、ドール制作をなさらない方の参加も大歓迎ですので、お気軽にお問い合せ下さい。

このイベントのためにアンティークボディのBru一体、ミレットBru一体、エデンベベ一体、合計3体を制作する予定です。伊藤博文や大隈重信が迎賓館として使っていた京都市有形文化財の長楽館で、私の新作を囲んでちょっと贅沢なテイーパーテイーを催したいと思います。桜が満開の丸山公園内にある歴史ある洋館で、普段では体験することができない素敵な時間を過ごしてみませんか？私もいつもよりちょっとドレスアップします。ビンテージ風のドレスでの参加も大歓迎です。

Her face is painted as ” Sawako”  type Eden bebe. Her wig is an antique mohair wig in ash blond color. I set high dome antique oval eyes for this doll to create more authentic look.

今回のエデンべべは”さわ子”タイプの絵付けをしました。より雰囲気を出すために、ドームの高いアンテイークのオーバルアイを使用しています。ウィッグはアッシュブロンドのアンテイークモヘアウィッグです。

She has pierced ears and wearing vintage blue glass earrings.

耳たぶにはピアスホールがあり、ビンテージのブルーのグラスイヤリングをつけています。

I made her dress using antique materials entirely including yards of silk ribbons to trim edge of the lace. She comes with antique silver doll mesh purse and a little all bisque doll that she is holding.

ドレスはレースの端を飾ってあるシルクリボンを含めて、すべてアンテイークの素材を使って作りました。彼女が持っているシルバーのメッシュバッグと、小さなビスクドールは付属品です。

She is wearing bustle pad underneath to puff up the back of the dress.

ドレスの下にはバッスルパッドを付けているので、後ろ部分が膨らんでいます。

She is wearing chemise and bustle pad, drawers made with antique cotton fabric.

下着はシミーズの他にドロワーズ、バッスルパッドです。すべてアンテイークのコットンとレースできています。

I made her articulated composition body from mold and finished with antiqued paint.

ボデイーは、私が型から抜いて作ったコンポジションボデイーです。雰囲気を出すためにアンテイーク加工のペイントを施しました。

She is very good at sitting.　お座りも上手です。

Her bonnet is also made entirely by hand using antique materials.

ボネットもすべてアンテイークの素材を使って作りました。

I made these shoes using Jumeau shoes pattern since she has Jumeau body. I used  black lambskin leather for upper part and decorate with brown silk bows. It has Jumeau bee stamp at sole.

彼女はジュモウボデイーなので、柔らかい羊の革を使ってジュモウ靴を作りました。靴底にはジュモウの蜂マークのスタンプが押してあります。
